Sensors developed in free form design for a wide variety of measuring tasks, is that possible? We have the answer!

Thanks to the merkapSOR® technology used in our polymer sensors, this is as possible. In contrast to traditional metal sensors, the polymer-based injection moulding method makes it possible to create lighter and more robust sensors. A key advantage is the freedom of design, enabling the production of industrial sensors in a wide variety of shapes and specifications.

Furthermore, these sensors are lighter, more resistant to vibration, impact and condensation. In addition, thanks to the use of special modified polymers, these sensors become excellent thermal conductivity, which guarantees precise and fast measurements.

Our solutions focus on measurements such as:

  • Temperature and humidity sensors
  • Pressure sensors
  • Flow sensors: based on the calorimetric and ultrasonic measurement principle.
  • DFM (Digital Freeform Multisensors) - combination of different sensors in one digital sensor node

Polymer based sensors - applications

In today's world, sensor technology plays a key role in many industries, from automotive to aerospace. Through innovative solutions such as polymer sensors, companies are able to achieve higher levels of precision, reliability and efficiency in their products and services. Below are some applications of PGT (Member of the JUMO Group) sensors in various industry sectors:

Temperature sensors for HVAC

Polymer temperature sensors are used in all kinds of radiators, heating systems, boilers, wall radiators, combination radiators, instantaneous water heaters or as room sensors. Particular applications are heat pumps or systems for combined heat and power generation.

Temperature, pressure and flow sensors for the automotive industry

Today's sensor technology plays a key role not only in major vehicle powertrains, but also in all functional systems inside and around the car. Traditional sensors often fail in the automotive industry because they require miles of wiring and numerous connection points, complicating the manufacturing, servicing and reliability of key vehicle systems.

The optimum alternative is polymer sensors integrated into individual system components, significantly reducing the need for complex installation. What's more, thanks to their good thermal conductivity, these sensors provide exceptional efficiency and advantages in terms of durability and performance.
