The JUMO Chinese subsidiary "JUMO Automation Dalian Co. Ltd." took ownership of its new offices a few days ago. In so doing, the Fulda-based specialist in measurement and control technology is laying the foundations for further growth in China.
JUMO has been operating in China since 1997. The office and production space that the company initially rented in an industrial estate in Dalian, Northern China, is now proving to be too small. At the same time, annual turnover is increasing in double figures and the number of employees is currently over four hundred. In addition, there are six sales offices throughout the country.
Projections continue to be positive, so the JUMO corporate group
management team has decided to open up a new site for the JUMO
Automation Dalian Co. Ltd. subsidiary. A few days ago JUMO Head of
Exports Reiner Riedl and Executive Director of the Chinese subsidiary
Stefan Dette took ownership of the new building which offers 15,000 m²
for production and administration. This constitutes a 100 percent
increase in surface area and also offers sufficient space for the future
development of the business. Relocation will be finished in September
2015.
"China plays an important role in our internationalization
strategy," explains JUMO Managing Partner Michael Juchheim. The enormous
market potential in Asia for JUMO - particularly for temperature
sensors- can be tapped directly from Dalian. In addition, products that
are manufactured in Germany are exported and distributed by the Chinese
subsidiary.
"Our expansion in China and our plans for further construction at
the company headquarters in Fulda mean a strengthened position for the
worldwide JUMO production network. Our flexibility and impact will
increase further," emphasizes JUMO Managing Partner Bernhard Juchheim.
JUMO has 24 subsidiary companies around the globe, 13 of which are
production sites.
